Legendary sound waver Timbaland, one of the most iconic producers in music history, headlined the Remy Martin Producer Series finale at Warwick nightclub on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood. The “Los Angeles vs. The Bay” themed up-and-coming producer competition to discover and uncover the game’s next great hit-maker received nearly 4,000 submissions. The winner was announced as Buckmouth Beatz, who was awarded guaranteed meetings with label executives, a gift pack valued at $5,000, and a one-of-kind producer series plaque. Competition judges included Rebekah Espinosa, Associate Director of Marketing for Sony Music; Theo Brown, National Promotions Director for Atlantic Records; and Vashon “Rap” Straws, National Mix Show Director for Universal Republic Records. Charlamagne Tha God of The Breakfast Club fame hosted the nights event. DJ Carisma of Los Angeles’ Real 92.3, DJ Amen of The Bay’s 106 KMEL, and DJ Rey-Mo of New York City’s Power 105.1 kept the hits on spin throughout.
